Lori Loughlin‘s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, is hoping 2021 will be much kinder to her following the fallout of the college admissions scandal.
The YouTube star posted a video of herself dancing to Instagram as she rang in the new year with boyfriend Jackson Guthy and their friends at a beach house in California.
“2021 let’s just keep the vibes good, k?” the 21-year-old said of the video.
She also shared a photo of a sunset on her Instagram Story, with the caption, “2021 please be nice.”
The YouTube star’s family is months away from putting the college admissions scandal behind them. Her mum Loughlin recently served a two-month sentence at a federal jail in Dublin, California, and was released just last week.
Meanwhile, Olivia Jade’s fashion designer dad, Mossimo Giannulli, will be released from prison in April once he completes his five-month sentence at a Lompoc jail, near Santa Barbara.
The high-profile pair were sentenced back in August after pleading guilty to paying bribes upwards of $500,000 (approx. $650,000) in return for enrolment at the University of Southern California for their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, 22.
“It’s been hard. I think for anybody, no matter what the situation is, you don’t want to see your parents go to prison,” Olivia Jade said last month on Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk, just before Loughlin’s release.
“But also, I think it’s necessary for us to move on and move forward. I’m super close with my parents, especially my mum, she’s like my best friend, so it’s definitely been really hard not to be able to talk to her, but I know she’s strong and I know it’s a good reflection period.”
