“The Oak Area is a claustrophobic thriller, set in a bar through a raging snowstorm. Alongside RJ Mitte, the central performances by Peter Outerbridge and Ari Millen are potent and unnerving”, mentioned Lightbulb’s Industrial Director, Matthew Kreuzer.
Lightbulb has also picked up genre pic My Heart Can not Beat Unless You Inform It To, directed by Jonathan Cuartas.
Following its globe premiere at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, the film played at festivals such as Nightstream, Sitges and Celluloid Screams.
Th film follows siblings Dwight (Patrick Fugit) and Jessie (Ingrid Sophie Schram) who place all their power into maintaining their tiny brother Thomas (Owen Campbell) alive. The dilemma? He may possibly be a vampire.
“My Heart Can not Beat… is an extraordinary tale of the lengths a loved ones will go to in order to guard each and every other. The film is each relatable and heart-breaking, but will send a cold shiver down your spine. Nearly Popular star Patrick Fugit is 1 of the most underrated actors of his generation and once more shines right here,” commented Peter Thompson.
