Ahaana Krishna REACTS on Prithviraj film’s controversy: Just keep me away from it, I’m not even in the movie

Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen in the Mollywood remake of Andhadhun and it’s titled, Bhramam. The film has been the talk of the town since its inception and the audience can’t wait to know what’s in store for them with this upcoming crime thriller. Bramham is directed by Ravi K Chandran. Amidst the strong buzz, reports started doing rounds that Mollywood actor Ahaana Krishna has been dropped out from the film due to political reasons. Reports state that Ahaana’s father and actor Krishna Kumar is the reason why makers removed her from the film’s cast. Krishna Kumar who recently joined BJP recently opened up that his daughter was removed from Prithviraj’s movie due to his links with the national party.

Yesterday, the makers issued a statement and said that there was no political reason for taking this decision. Hours after makers released an official statement, Ahaana Krishna has reacted to the allegations. “Just keep me away from it (news). I am not even in the picture, I have not blamed anyone. Some who spoke might be related to me, but it is always another person’s opinion. Don’t count me in. I have nothing to do with this drama,” Ahaana said on Instagram. She also mentioned being a huge Prithviraj Sukumaran’s fan and totally respects him.

Bhramam also features Raashi Khanna, Unni Mukundan and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, here’s what makers clarified on the controversy in their long statement- “We, Open Book Productions, the Executive Producers of the Malayalam film Bhramam hereby categorically deny political affiliations or any other considerations had anything to do with the casting and choice of technicians of the film.”

The statement further stated, “The entire decision of the casting and selection of technicians was that of the creative team of Director/DOP/Writer and the Producer. Any changes were as per the demand of the script and also with the consent of Team Bhramam. The camera test was getting delayed as she was working in another film and later she got infected with Covid 19. Eventually, when we did the photo shoot our Director/DOP/Writer felt she won’t fit the character which we communicated to her and even apologized for the inconvenience,” read the statement issued by the filmmakers.
